Default Are cleaning product good after freezing?

I had moved my cleaning supplies indoors in the fall to avoid any harsh tempetures in my unheated garage. Unfortunately, my wife didn't like the milk crate in the house and moved it outside without my knowledge.

My Zaino (Claybars, ZFX, Z2, Z7), Lexol, Plexus, Invisible Glass, etc have been exposed to extended below-freezing temps. They are not frozen solid but I think they have some 'slush'.

My concern is that the freezing has affected the 'chemical make-up' of the products and they may loss effectiveness or actually cause harm.

Any thoughts . . . do you think they'll be ok or should I start new in the spring?

Thanks,
Michael

Maybe you should read their labels for storing instructions. I would hesitate using them after they have been exposed to freezing temps.

Just buy all new products and give the bill to your wife

Once I had a bunch of Meguiar's products (wax, polish, quick detailer) freeze in my trunk. I called Meguiar's hotline and they told me to discard the products.

The clay bar is fine, but the rest of it is probably "toast". You could always e-mail Sal and ask him...wet@zainobros.com.[/url] He's probably gonna say toss it.

As someone suggested, I posed the question to Sal. Here is his reply. I think I'll keep all of the products and use them on my beater or my wife's car.

Per Sal Zaino:

I found that room temperature gave the best longevity for Zaino products... so
that's what I prefer...

When stored in a cool dry place. Avoiding extreme heat or cold. Shelf
Life is as follows.

Z-1 For optimum results use before 3 years.
Z-2 For optimum results use before 3 years.
Z-5 For optimum results use before 3 years.
Z-6 5 years +
Z-7 5 years +
Z-9 5 years +
Z-10 For optimum results use before 2 years.
Z-12 For optimum results use before 2 years.
Z-14 For optimum results use before 2 years.
Z-16 3 to 5 years
Z-18 5 years +
ZFX For optimum results use before 3 years

Try not to let Zaino freeze. The optical additives I use do not like to
be frozen. It will decrease there gloss enhancing properties.

but if Zaino does freeze...

Let the products thaw out at room temperature.

As long as they mix good when you shake them up good...They should be fine.

If you have any problem please call me and I'll help you out...
