Default cleaning tire scrubber

I washed my car's exterior today and after hosing down the tires I decided to scrub it with a specific tire scrubber. When I was done I saw the scrubber was filled with grime and dirt. I tried hosing it off with my high pressure hose but it wouldnt come off. I also tried "Greased Lightning" (the purple bottle) and then hosing it off but it also doesnt work.
Any suggestions ?

I'm guessing you're talking about your tire scrubbing brush. I imagine you only use the brush to clean your tires. So, I wouldn't worry about it being stained black.

yeah but next time I clean the tires- which will most likely be with a dedicated tire cleaner- it wont be perfectly clean since the brush has reasonable amounts of grime in it.

There would have to be a lot of gunk in your brush to make a difference. What kind of brush is this?

Some generic tire scrubber from Autozone. Its the first time I cleaned the tires too. I always just sprayed the tire gloss to give it some shine.

what are you using on your tires to give them some shine?

the problem that you describe is pretty normal with several tire protectants...
and as mikeyc says, its not likely to effect your cleaning ability.

Been using the same tire brush for about 15 years. Originally it had white bristles in the center and yellow bristles around the edges. It is pretty much two shades of gray today, but it varies from black to gray with use. Black is from cleaning tire/wheel that have been near leaking seals. Brush still cleans just fine.

I use a bucket of hot water with Joy for wheel cleaning. Brush and wheel mitt are in the bucket of Joy. Tires get sprayed with Mean Green, brushed, and wheels get washed in Joy. Occasionally I treat tires with Zaino UV protectant.

Its some black-canned spray. I think its Meguir's extreme tire shine.

Wheels should have some protectant added...unless you use it for track only, in which case you mightn't much care.
