I prefer Raggtopp over the 303 for durability and use it for vinyl and cloth tops I detail. Raggtopp makes their product for both types of tops and my suppliers detailing website specifies what type of top material is used for most foreign and domestic cars.

I have read that our tops are vinyl, but I would swear mine is cloth. The car is an 06 with a replacement top under warranty.

Sounds like I need the vinyl top cleaner/protector, just want to confirm so I buy the right product - anyone?

^^^

It's vinyl, so go ahead and buy a vinyl protectant that has UV protection.
For those that have had 303 run off when it rains, you might be applying too much product or not buffing off the excess or both.

Also, don't spray 303 (or Raggtopp, or whatever you prefer) directly onto the top. Rather, spray it onto an applicator, and spread it that way. Spraying it directly onto the top leads to using too much. Also, when you spray it directly, a breeze can blow overspray all over your car, which is a hassle to clean up. Applicator works best for me.

I agree since it was replaced under warranty, but there are cloth tops, I would doubt honda would install one.
This is an example of a cloth top http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-2001-H...801132006r21784

As to how to clean it...

I use 303 sprayed onto an applicator then applied.

I would try raggtop but 303 gets used for my interior as well so I can
use one product on both and it seems the general consensus is that
if applied properly, the products are pretty much the same.

I love Blue magic convertible top cleaner, I have a 05 and my top still looks better than some of my freinds with 08s.

Hi,

OK, so perhaps I haven't cared for my top like I should have. I just noticed recently that it looks faded, sort of grayish. Definitely not as black as when it was new.

Are there any products that will make the top black again?

Thanks,
Scott
