Default Critique my website, please!

Hey guys-

Im working on actually getting my detailing business off the ground to get more clients. Right now I have a steady 20-30 clients I call up in the spring and fall to detail before and after winter. The site is www.padetailing.com and since last time, Ive changed the home page, and worked out the schedule timing under the SESM tab, (at at which Im the on-site detailer). Any ideas which would make it look better? Im in the process of adding more pictures right now. Thanks a lot! Oh, Im also going to put my phone number under the contacts page and change that so "MAIL" doesnt just pop up. And lastly, I added a detailing-how to under the detailing101 tab so people can get an idea of how I do things. I posted that detail in this forum before.

thanks a lot!
-Matt

Also, did you notice that prices for SESM are about 1/3 of my normal prices? Maybe thats what you were looking at? And since youre a detailer, do you have an AIM SN? Im REALLY wanting to go this route after college and would like to talk to someone who has been there before me.

My AIM name is the same as my username here, but I'm not on there too often. Every time I log on, people I knew 5 to 6 years ago start spamming me and I don't want to talk to them

I meant that your normal prices are very good. I charged that much a long time ago but I've gone up because I'm a jerk

If you have any any questions or whatnot feel free to PM me anytime.

This is less about the appearance of your website but....

1. Keep your premium services out of your package. Things like carpet shampooing, swirl removal, headlight polishing and metal polishing should be additional charges. I don't do it much for money anymore but when I do, my swirl removal process starts at $250.
2. No way you can PROPERLY do all the things in your SESM supreme detail in one hour. When I do a complete swirl removal I tell people 6-8 hours.

Well- I know thatll take awhile, but all the interior is going to be done at the same time as the exterior. There will be 3 of us working there, maybe 4, which will obviously speed things along nicely. And by swirl removal, I really mean use my trusty PC7424, Muguiar's Professional Series Swirl Remover 2.0 (polishing compound if necessary), then following it up with the Professional Show Car Glaze, (if necessary), then Carnauba Wax. Yea, it's not a "complete" swirl removal process, but its good for 99% of the people out there, and people cant expect ta complete process for 75.00 either. Thanks for the heads up though, Ill take that into consideration for my normal details.

Matt, Ubetit hit it right on the head. Thorough swirl removal usually takes me 7-8 hours including wheels, wheel wells, conv. top, all glass, rubber seals, and interior. I don't touch under people's hoods.

I charge 200 for new customers and 175 for return clients on compact - midsize cars. Full size/SUV goes up quite a bit from there.

Your prices are great since you're starting out, but after a few long details you'll find that you're not making enough for the work you're doing. Keep it where it is for now and get some business going and some THOROUGH process photos. I've always documented my details pretty well with before, during, and after photos - might want to check those out.

Also, I dont think 150.00 for a full detail is that low really, do you? It usually takes me about 5-7 hours to do one, and at 25.00 an hour for being in college, Im not complaining one bit. The lower prices might not make me as much per customer, but if it attracts 1-4 more people, then itll be worth it for the numbers I do. How its set up now works very well for me, when Im out of school and hopefully opened a shop of my own, the price will go up. Either that, or Ill open an "Express Detail" shop, because those NEVER seem to not have a line of cars at them.
