Default Detailing the Emblems

Actually, I am referring to the paint inside the emblems. I have an "H" emblem on the front and rear of the car and an "S2000" emblem on each side. What do you do about the paint inside the emblem? Do you just ignore it? Do you polish it? Do you wax it?

TIA.

Al

q-tips and "polish" with AIO real quick. I have also used wenol chrome polish on the chrome itself, works pretty good to brighten it up. The q-tips make it look better, but it won't really remove scratches. My Audi has a lot of emblems and they are big, hard to do. I've considered shaving all the emblems just to not have to deal with them

I shaved the side emblems off the S (when I had it). Waxed the inside of the H's.

good post... we havent covered this in a long time-

i dont get swirls inside my badges- thats how i deal with them!!

badge removal/ polish/ reattach is a pia but its the most "wacko" method.

I would think you might use a brush?

I believe tropi-care just recently got these brushes.

For Honda's I remove the emblem as they come off so easily. I leave the s2000 on the fender alone though as its hard to get it to go back on the same.

Spray sealants are perfect for this issue. I've got Werkstat AJT and Chemical Guys' Blitz - AJT is less fussy to use, so that gets my vote.
