Default detailing to maximize the value of your car

nice to see an article about real detailing for the average person...

and they point out that most folks wash their cars incorrectly-
for once a good article that supports wackoness !!

Nice!!

There's a guy in MA by the name of Ryan Blanchette from autopia. He recently (about 6 months ago) did an older Ferrari for a client, and when he was finished, I believe he marked up his price by like $50k!!!

When I totaled my first S2000, my insurance adjuster said it was by far the most well kept car they had ever seen (duh ). So when I bought my car for $15k-- they gave me $19k for the car!!

You're car can have 50k miles on it.. but if you take care of it, you can for sure command a premium.

my last two cars sold for more than i paid for them new ('86 cherried-out cj7... the last year of the "real jeep"; and prior to that an rx-7)- and hey, they looked pretty much new at the time.

anybody wana buy a really clean '00 s2000 for $50k? (ha ha)

I bet you can still command right around $20k for your car though, Mike! It's MINT and I'm sure EXTREMELY low miles .

My car probably has the same miles as yours.. and it's only a year old (7800 ish)
