A different car cover question
Tonight is my first night with my new S
Well.. new to me, anyways.
I just bought a car cover that is WAAAY too big for my car which I am probably going to return, but I did want something big, as ease to put on is one of the biggest things. I had one before for my RSX and I never really used it because it was elastic on the bottom and too much of a bitch to put on.
The cover is mainly to cover the appearance of the car. I park under a covered spot, so most of the elements will not affect it. I just want to deter kids from going around it or drawing attention to the car.
The current one has no elastic, but just sits on the car, and could easily be stolen.
So, I need some advice as to yours and the ease of use. If the OEM one has no elastic, is easy to put on, it may be a good choice, but I havn't seen one in real life. Plus it has a lock.

it is so easy to put on and off and so soft and well padded that i bought two!!
my car is here in the office underground garage under the cover right now- no worries about dings from others or folks reaching into my top down car when the cover is on.
but as racer said, its not a weather cover- more of a dust cover or a cover for use in dry weather...

You put the cover on everytime you park at work?
car is even covered in the garage at home usually...
dont have to worry about folks bumping it there either. and main advantage is that it keeps its new look a lot longer- once a week dusting and detail spray... i could go prob six months with it looking freshly detailed- when i wash it my neighbor comes over and asks why i am washing a clean car!!
I love the OEM cover. It has a very snug fit!
If you need an outdoor cover, put the OEM under the outdoor cover. Then you will minimize scratches from movements due to wind
My car's a weekend car ... so I don't mind the hassle too much (yet), because it saves me time from washing and wax the car more often.
