All S2000's have a clear coat. 99% of the paint jobs today have a clear coat. You'll need ZFX, Z5 (if you want to hide some swrils), and Z2 pro to get you started.

 

i would use a dual action polisher first to remove any oxidation, swirls , then clay, then apply the new z2 PRO.. its much more effective than adding an lsp over oxidized paint .

Thought it was clear coated but this is not shown on any of the documents that come with the car, the factory sticker or ID plate on the car.

Now the question for the real car buffs out there - Also have a 1990 Mercedes 300SL.
Back then, did that also have a clear coat?

I'd like to just buy one cleaning product/kit to use on all vehicles.

 

I'm fairly sure your 1990 300SL has a single stage paint and does not have a clear coat. I'd have to see it to be sure.

 

Your S2000 does, not sure about you!
