Keeping a swiffer sheet in your secret compartment for the occasional quick wipedown does wonders as well.

Personally, I find our society's trend towards disposable products quite disconcerting. Pampers, all these wipe products, swiffers, etc. generate a lot of garbage. I'm no tree hugger though. For me, it's about the money. It's can be cheaper to use a re-usable resource like a towel compared to the expense of a "wipe."

Dust is a fact of life. Using the most non-greasy protectant helps. I have found DP Interior Surface Protectant to leave the driest finish and therefore attract the least dust.

I have been searching for years..or at least it feels like that, for an interior protectant that left my dash matte. After trying DP, I agree that it minimizes dust adhesion. I love it, leaves the car smelling like an eastern european brothel for a day or two (bananas anyone?) but it works great.
Actually, one very good way to get dust (and other things) out of the cockpit is to go to Home Depot and tell them you want to buy a shop vac that will suck the chrome off a trailer hitch -- and then buy it. Keep it in the garage by your car. Getting dust our of your car will then be a 30 second job.
