exhaust tip and wheel detailing
Hi all, I have an 05 silverstone/black, I want to know if the exhaust tips are chrome or stainless steel, and what is recommended to use for detailing and protection. I just got some Klasse all in one and it says it works on metal, should
I use it or something else? Also I love my stock wheels and would like to protect them also, what's recommended. Are the wheels an alloy with a clear coat ?
They seem to get alot of brake dust on them and I thought a protectant would make it easier to keep them clean. 303 also says it can be used , do you recommend it, I will use the 303 on my tires and I know some spray will end up on my wheels no matter how careful I am. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks and happy v-tecing!

vipersdad- i understand why you use paper towels (so you can throw them away), but want to make sure that you know that paper towels can actually swirl or scratch areas that have clear coat or paint (such as the wheels).
this is why any product for the plastic rear windows will contain a caution not to use paper towels on the rear windows.
if you want to use the paper towels, you might wash the wheels first (to get the brake dust off- paper towels and brake dust is not a good combo), or at least rinse them... then spray them with a detailers spray to clean them up if you are trying not to do a full wash.
another (but a bit riskier than washing) method is to use a duster that is only used for wheels on the wheels first- then spray them good with a detail spray and finally wipe them out (still better to use a "wheel rag" instead of paper towels- i use red colored rags on my wheels, so i know not to use them on anything else- and they get washed after they are used on the wheels).

Mother's Aluminum Polish on the exhaust tips...does amazing things.
On the wheels...it varies. Armor All, Meguiars Detailing Mist, or straight wax. Just depends on how dirty they were. NEVER any type of wheel cleaner. I have yet to find a wheel cleaner in a spray form that does not damage polished aluminum wheels like the stock S2000 16-17"s.
