Default Experience with Zymol

Hi, I am about to purchase Zymol Concour.. however, I'm wonder if it is possible to prep the car with Menzerna, layer Jetseal or other synthetic, then top of with Zymol concour, WITHOUT using Zymol HD Cleanse.

Would the Zymol concour bond with the synthetic? The fact that Zymol stress the fact that HD cleanse has to be used got me worried, it won't bond properly.

Also, what's your experience with Wolfgang Fuzion compared to Zymol Concour??

Thank you

It's marketing. You don't have to use HD Cleanse

I have never used a dedicated paint cleanser before Zymol, but I also never put anything on before it. Just polish/compound, IPA wipedown, then Zymol.

Yeah, I have been topping off synthetics with carnauba wax and using synthetic as a "wax booster" sort of.

used Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant with P21 top off...
used Klasse AIO + Sealant with Pinnacle Souveran....

want to try a different setup this year..possibly
Jet Seal + Zymol Concour or WG Fuzion

but a little worried about Zymol bonding with synthetic..

interesting that this is still a question...

several of us were involved in this question when sal zaino came out with his product many years ago now. sal told us that carnaubas would not work with his products and would block them from binding.

we thought that carnauba would bind to just about anything and wanted proof... meaning that "autopia", "boiler" and i challenged this by waxing over the synthetics (boiler and i went wax over a synthetic called finish first while autopia went carnaubas over klasse). autopia wrote several articles, the best known is called "the perfect shine". we all agreed that wax over synthetic was the perfect shine. it is common practice now. i then used zaino with wax over and had the same great results. the rest is :

detailing history 101

zymol concours is primarily synthetic... wanabe says "go for it"!

Thanks for that info wannabe. FTR it may be common knowledge within a certain circle but it is not common knowledge. So never assume all the info is known.

woops-
big correction...
dont know how that happened, but i meant to say its primarily carnauba!!

zymol concours is not synthetic- use it as a topper...

carnauba over synthetic is fine... its synthetic over carnauba thats not as good (that too is fine after the wax has evaporated out a few days)-

sorry bout that!
