Default Finally ordered my Porter Cable :)

Hey guys, I am tired of "hand" detailing my car for hours only for it to look somewhat ok at certain "dark lighting". I ordered it from DD under the Group buy, I also ordered the 4-pack of pads, Orange, yellow, White & black

1) Orange is cutting? Yellow=???????? White=polishing?, black= finish (waxing)

The order is????

1)Light cutting
2)Polish
3)Glaze
4)wax

Also what is the best way to remove the wax? I have some shitty Pep buy random orbital buffer that I bought for like $40.00 a couple of years ago, should I just buy some MF bonnet and use that buffer to remove the wax?

Thanks fellas

You can remove wax using dish washing detergent as a soap. But be aware that this will entirely remove it.

Yellow- Compounding
Orange- Polishing
White- Light Duty Polishing
Black- Finishing

thanks, I meant wax as in once its applied and "hazed" awaiting buffing to remove Not strip the wax, just remove the applied dried wax

Oh, my mistake. I recommend Phil's blue Microfiber towels at Detailers Domain.

Unlike a chemical polish or abrasive polish, a glaze does not clean or abrade the paint. A glaze typically contains oils and kaolin to fill and mask minor imperfections remaining after polishing, and to enhance the brilliance of the finish. If a glaze is applied, it is used after use of a chemical polish or abrasive polish or All in One product but before application of a sealant or wax.

two things, don't use dish washing soap on your car and you can throw your $40 buffer away as you won't need it anymore. unless you applied the current wax recently, a good wash, clay, and polish with pc should remove the previous wax. as for applying and removing wax, i usually do that by hand. but with a black pad and a low speed you can apply it with the pc and remove it with your favorite mf towel.
