Default first W&W post

OK, so I'm a bit of a detail n00b.

I decided to paint my calipers over the turkey day weekend, so I figured I'd also give the s2k a full interior and exterior cleaning.

I took a few photos, I'd get more but I drove it the 3 hours home so it's dirty again

BUT - here are some shots (and yes, i know about the bumper, I'm planning on replacing it with an AP2 bumper soon so while it's annoying, it's not crucial)

Products used:
- Mcguiars Gold Class Car Wash
- PlastX
- Plexus
- Mcguiars Leather Cleaner & Conditioner
- Invisible Glass
- Rain-X
- Platinum Paste Wax
- Mcguiars Interior Detail Wipes
- 303 Aerospace Protectant
- Mcguiars (I think?) Tire Black (comes in a spray bottle?)

some of the product names may be off, they're all at the new place I'm moving to so I can't run and check tonight

suggestions for a better leather cleaner/prtectant, or how to prevent getting it in the perforated holes? I really want to use Lexol but i've searched ALL over and can't find it - any suggestions?

ooooo, nice shiny tire.
What's wrong with the bumper? The picture doesn't show anything wrong with it, unless it's the look you're talking about.

I can find Lexol locally here at my Honda dealership and Pep-Boys (I think I saw it at Kragen and AutoZone too but I'm not sure). Have you tried the dealership yet? They should most likely carry them, though in a smaller bottle.

my faux vents are painted and the bottom "rung" of the grate is painted (not sure what to call that) - i know i can replace the grate but i can't the faux vents - unless i pull them and put fog lights in (which, i've yet to see an install I like so that's out)

thanks - i'll check the dealership, I may just have to pick that up when I pick up my shin-etsu - cheers for the suggestion!

I really like the tire stuff I'm using, it doesn't look TOO shiney, but it looks nice and healthy and black like a tire should

Ah I see it now. At first it seemed just like light reflecting off that part of the grill. And as for the faux vents, I guess they do seem lighter than normal.

I agree with the tire compliment. Did you get any sling from the Tire Black?

nope, no sling.

I couldn't find a spongy applicator at the store I went to (also out of ScratchX and a few other things - figure they sold out) that I liked, so I ended up just using a regular applicator pad, putting it on - waited until I did the other 4 then turned it over and wiped the excess off - no sling and great-looking tires
