Default A Day in the Sun

Well, I'm sure many of you are like me and have a lot of wax cleaners etc. that you don't really use much so today I decided to use some on my wifes car. It came out pretty good.

Interior vaccumed, then sprayed scent block due to her having a mishap with some milk. Cleaned interior with california duster follwed by Griot's interior cleaner.

Engine just cleaned up a bit with engine cleaner via Griot's garage and dropped in a K&N filter. washed entire car, polished hood, front fenders, and front bumper via random orbital with griot's #3 fine polish. Used Meguires cleaner wax over entire car by hand, followed by Meguires gold class wax by hand. Tires with Meguires tire gel and finally sonus plastic/ bumper stuff over trim. Stoners glass cleaner used as well. So here are some pics. Enjoy, now I'm tired and am gonna have a beer.

Nice improvement. I also have a lot of detailing supplies which I no longer use on my S2K. Like you I try to use them when I clean someone else's car which unfortunately doesn't happen enough to get rid of all of them.

Cleaner wax helps take out impurities in the paint leaving a smooth surface ready for wax. If you don't have enough time to properly wax a car instead, you can use cleaner wax. It's pretty much wax with some additives/ very small amount of polish compound.
For instance if I washed a friend's car and they don;t do anything to it but take it through a drive through, I would used cleaner wax prior to waxing.

Well put! Cleaner wax is like a combination between wax and polish. The upside is that it polishes & protects in one step. The downside is that most cleaner wax don't polish or protect as well as seperate products will.
