Default Fixing wheel clear coat?

I think I accidentally got some brake fluid or brake cleaner on my wheels. It left some spots that look like the wheel clear coat got dissolved. If it matters, the wheels are Rays 57 Motorsport wheels in silver and are unpainted.

How can I remove the clear coat damage? Should I try to hand-buff it out with all my polishes? I can't imagine how I'd use my PC on the wheel spokes.

Thanks!

definitely try to polish it first, if it is etched you can bring it back up with polish if it is dissolved then it is gone. If you do it very carefully you can add new clear on it if the spots aren't too large brushable or spray type commercially available.

If you do any further work, be sure to take the wheels off.

All four wheels were off the car and 3 feet away from the car. Somehow, I got some random splashes on my wheels

I did the same thing, my wheels were off the car and I still managed to spill some fluid on the wheels and the car. Good thing is that it isn't noticeable from a few feet away, you really need to get up close to the wheels to see it. I gave it a good polish and then tried to shine it up with some sealant, it seemed to help give it some gloss.

The trick is to use a really hard polish. Polish the spots really well before you add any sort of sealant. The wheels are unpainted at all? Chrome?

stock regular painted then clear-coated wheels. i meant that they weren't powdercoated or painted over the original.
