is there a problem using the foam gun with a hose W/O a pressure washer?
I cant afford a pressure washer at the moment, and dont have anywhere to put one yet.
I am contemplating this now, as wanabe keeps saying, it's hard to resist.

also, before using a foam gun, do you need to rinse the car off with just water first?

Thanks
Roger

I used the ortho sprayer with just my hose. There wasnt crazy amounts of foam, but I was happy with the results.

You can't use a foam gun with a PW. You can only use it with a garden hose. There is another product called a foam canon which is for use with a PW, but it's a totally different item.

As to whether you need to rinse first before foaming . . . well I guess that depends on what you're doing. If you're just pre-rinsing and will then hose off the foam then you don't need to rinse first. If you're going to take your mitt to the paint and wash right after foaming then I would rinse the car first to get rid of the largest particles of dirt.

Well, I just got the Autogeek Foam Gun.....not happy.

Like I've said before, if you want the foaming to stick like shaving cream action then get the foam cannon with a pressure washer.
