Default Forever Black Top Dye

Is there any other black dye products for the top besides forever black ?

I know renovo sells one for Fabric tops but I suppose that's not a good idea to use on Vinyl.

Thanks,

dont use fabric stuff...

and make sure that normal protectants dont get you where you want to be before you go forever black.

if you have to use forever black, wash the top really well with a brush and make sure that it is toally dry. take your time with the application, let it dry completely before you give it a final buff. i wouldnt put on the protectant for a few days... in fact i prefer to wait until the next washing. then wash and dry again and protect it really well.

Thanks! Does the Forever Back dry like a matted finish or a gloss finish ?

I put some on let it dry for two days before washing the car. It seems to have helped and I'm going to put a little more on this weekend.

The top looks pretty dark everywhere now which it already was pretty good execpt i had small area that looked like I over scrubbed/rubbed trying to get some bird crap and other unknown chemical off.

I ordered it online from Amazon.

might try it out, my old top is faded as hell. by the time i took ownership (used) the fade had been long done, the previous owner did not do any protectorant, i did it up with cleaner and raggtop but it only stayed nice for a short period of time. then it goes back to a dark dark gray color.

this is what raggtop did (looked good in the short-term)...

i'm top down most of the time anyways, so i haven't been proactive in getting the black darkened...

Post back with some pictures. It will be interesting to see how it works on considerably faded tops.

Good luck!
