black trim
so i got a 00 S and the black molding on it has that moldy water stain lookin crap that older cars get and i was just wondering if anyone knew how to restore that
yup- wash, dry
soak a rag with vinylex or 303. rub in... repeat continously until its all done- let it set- do it again. let it soak in and buff out
if that doesn't work, the vinyl is too dried out.
two choices- try again to remoisturize. shin etsu grease is good for this.
other choice- "re-black" it with a reblack product like "back to black"...
some have sponge applicator tops that fill with a paint type substance . you sorta paint it on. repeat and that's it- until it starts to fade, then do it again.

I use a product called Black Again. It works great...but I find it a little messy. I usually have to end up cleaning the areas around where I applied it. But, it doesn't really leave a glossy finish. I usually apply it and then wipe off any excess that is still there.
