Default gasoline damage

Right, so recently detailed my car, including a clay bar, which for my first time using one, was unbelievable. 9 years of desert damage removed! After a wax it looked new!

Anyway, on my way to the airport, I filled up with gas and then went away for 2 weeks.

Not noticing the idiototic gas attendant had spilt a lot of gasoline down the side of the car.

Anyway, I have come back and now seen that there is a stain on the fender that seems impregnated into the paint It looks like treacle, is raised from the paint slightly, but seems to be within the clearcoat. I have tried clay, and the Megs 3 stage clean/polish/wax but nothing is getting it out.

Suggestions?

Looks like you might have to try a buffer with a little intensive polish. This should get it out. If not, you may have to go with a harsher abrasive, such as the power gloss, but this should be a last option. Hope this helps buddy.

Yup! Polishing the paint with a buffer is the next step. If that doesn't work your only options are to leave it or to repaint.

You might want to see a doctor about that.

On a serious note . . . I used to have an Audi TT. On that car, the gas filler is more on top of the car rather than on the side. I avoided full serve like the plague when I had that car.
