Default New paint job

With a brand new paint job, reconfirming that the only product to use for the first 60 days would be Glaze right? (Besides washing of course)...

Which is the BEST BEST Glaze that you guys would recommend?

Anything else besides Glazing the paint?

Thanks in advance!!!!!

any polish or glaze will work, just no wax or silicone because the paint needs to gas. you should consult the bodyshop that did the work because not all paint has to gas out for 60 days

after i got my paintjob i only had to wait 10 days for gassing.

depends on what line of paint and what was teh process(air dry vs heated booth cross link), i wouldn't touch it without talking to the painter

The painter said it is perfectly okay to wax...he said wax it, why not, he is going to wax it before giving me the car and i can go ahead and put more wax on to protect it...

They have to downdraft type and will bake after the paint work...so he said the paint is ready once it is done with the oven...

But seems like everyone says to HOLD OFF with the wax...so...confuseeeeeeee

Yeah my painter said the same on the Prelude and all others told me to hold off. That was some time ago.

like i said if he heat treated the car in the booth at 140 degree you dont need to wait 2 month since the molecule already crosslinked(think DRY) but if it's not done in a heated booth then don't touch it with anything silicone(including wash).

alot of shop will glaze and wax right away but most shop isn't pay enough for a showcar finish.(most of the shop make money off accidnet repair and volumed turn out)
