Default Grout sponge users!?

Have any of you guys ever used a grout sponge which you can find at home depot for 2$? Ive been reading over on autopia.org and some say its one of the best bang for the buck products that you can get. I was wondering if this would be similar to a sponge made by armaly called the "car, truck'n boat" sponge. It says its made out of polyester.

here is a pic of the armaly sponge

its the first sponge that shows if the pic does not show

here is the home depot sponge

i would say this is one of the many "opinion topics" around detailing...

a recent thread shows this:
http://autopia.org/forum/detailing-product...ut-sponges.html

we are all in search of a non-swirl way of washing cars-
it seems to me that this means minimal touch... so i like the foam idea for the theoretically best wash method.

in real life, i use a lambswool mitt and do not have swirl/ washing issues. but have to admit, i have a foamer in the garage that is waiting for me to try out!

I agree with wanabe, trying to find a swirl free way to wash you car is best. I don't use sponges myself.

Also, I just ordered a foam gun as well, maybe the same one as wanabe.
