Purchased a bunch of Cobra MF's, insight?
Well after placing my new line up of products and sealants with autogeek (went with the menzerna line up vs the xmt). I also purchased some cobra microfibers 16x16 I believe. Now my question is what makes them so much more special vs the microfibers that you see at costco, walmart, and so fourth? I saw a pack of 25 for 9$ at costco the other day. Do these walmart type microfibers induce swirls? Or is the only difference that they cant hold as much water?
I also read a few weeks ago (i wasnt sure if it was MikeyC or FMINUS) that walmart carries the "Eurow mit" and is actually a great wash mit. Is this lambswool based? microfiber?? Would anyone have a pic of it? I went to the local walmart today and couldnt find anything that said "Eurow" on it, they did have alot of chennille wash mits that looked like a glove with deadlocks which were made by microtek I believe. Thanks for any insight guys!

I don't think the Eurow mitts are actually labeled with that brand name. Just look for the mitts that say "genuine sheepskin" (or maybe it says lambs wool).
As to your question about microfibers . . . which ones did you get from Autogeek? Some of them are not really much better than what you get at Target or Wal-Mart. It depends on the type you ordered.

All I have to say is I just used the microfibers from pak shak for my last detail and they are AMAZINGGGG. This is in comparison to the walmart microfibers. Also the ones from Autogeek are really good as well.
The walmart ones in my opinion are really thin and not as plush/soft and it takes more wipes to take off waxes and polish residue.
Also I'm not sure if its just me but I think they honestly left streaks or some sort of scratches on my car from the last time I used them.

autogeek says they are "cobra indigo polishing cloths" Looks like ill go back to walmart and pick up some genuine lambswool or sheepskin. Do cheaper microfibers scratch more? Or is it that theyre ability of absorbing water is not as good as those higher end microfibers such as the ones that detailersdomain supplies? thanks you guys
The Indigo Polishing clothes that Autogeek sells are not a great "all around" towel. They don't aborsb well and they don't have a knap. So, you can't use them for quick detailing or drying the car. What they are good at is removing polish/wax residue. They're kind of a "one trick pony."
Personally, I prefer to buy more of a multi-use towel. When I buy Cobra towels I get the Deluxe Jr. It's a purple towel and it's very soft. One side has a longer knap than the other. So, it's good for QD'ing, polish/wax residue removal, or even drying (although I don't use them for drying because they're small).

It really depends on the particular towel some absorb better, some scratch less, some are softer, some take off excess wax better, etc.
