Default headlights..

Ok, so I have taken every car that I have ever owned to this spa locally.. They always do a hell of a job for about 20. They use liquid clearcoat protector and a double bond wax that repells water when dried.. I have been noticing that it is putting a haze on my headlights... Is there something out there that is safe to use to clean them? Some sort of plastic cleaner?

plast-x from meguiars. you can buy it from just about any autoparts store. follow the directions on the label.

just an FYI, you might wanna tape the paint around your headlights, so you dont scratch it while you are cleaning your headlights with this stuff.

I worked on an AP1 this past weekend. The Plast-X didn't touch the haze that had been on the lights for a few years. After going through a number of things, I found that the Novus scratch remover followed by the final Novus polish gave GREAT results. I should have some pictures up in a bit.

That's interesting. My father-in-law has that Novus stuff, and he usesit for his motorcycles I think. I'll have to ask him to let me try it.

I used some Clearkote Vanilla Moose Glaze on my headlights with a PC, SFX white pad and it removed all the hazing, cleared them up so well that I cannot stop looking at them, it's like they are new!
