Heavy Duty Compound
Have any of you tried Poorboys SSR 3 Heavy Duty Compound? I already have the SSR 1 and SSR 2.5, but I am looking for something 'stronger'.
The SSR 2.5 works for most spots, but there are a few medium/heavy scratches, and I think that this will do the trick.
Are there any comparable products that have worked well for you?
If it helps any, I will be using it with a Porter Cable and Edgy 2000 six inch pads.

Another question I have is how do you go about polishing/waxing a car that has a 3M clear bra on it?
I plan on cleaning my friends red s2k, and it has a clear bra over the front bumper, front half of the fenders and front half of the hood. It also has it covering the rear view mirrors.

I've tried it (but not SSR 2.5), and I find it to work pretty well as does the rest of the Poorboy's line. It does however leave haze (when used with a cutting pad) that'll need to be cleaned up with a finer polish and pad combo.
I have never polished a clear bra before, but I'd imagine that SSR1 w/ a white pad should do the trick if there are any swirls or scratches in it.

for the clear bra you gotta go really conservative - once swirled they are gone
first try plexus- the most conservative plastic cleaner there is. you can protect it with just about anything, but especially zaino is a good choice here- i have even used zaino on glass, and plastics. i prefer synthetics on plastics cause carnaubas can color as they age and they will show more on bras than on the paint.
if the bra is scratched or swirled, you just want to either use a light product like plexus to start and then a swirl filler- not a remover.

I'm not sold on Plast-X, it seems there are fillers in it.
I have a few hairline scratches in my headlight lens. I tried using Plast-X on it to remove them, and BAM they were gone. But a few days later, the same scratches reappeared.
I think that a light paint polish and light polishing pad used with a PC will do more to correct scratches in plastic than Plast-X.
