Help cleaning NEW plastic window
My plastic window is already looking bad and my vinyl top/plastic window is only about 2 months old!
I bought Plexus and it still leaves smears and
didnt seem to take out the creases that are from it being folded down.
What am I doing wrong?
oh and I was thinking of using the mothers powerball mini? with the plexus?
-Thanks

how are you applying the plexus?
are you using a new microfiber towel?
(i am wondering if your towel might have residue in it)
you have the right product for a new window-
you could try the powerball... and be careful- dont push it hard-
powerball and plastic polish are the combo for scratched plastic windows, and can work with plexus- again just go slow and light - and test a small area before doing the rest (you want to make sure you arent making things worse).
and again, either use a new powerball or one that is absolutely clean.
for the creases, you need to put something soft in the window when you put it down- i roll up a detailers towel.
also if you leave it in the sun top up it should stretch out.

inside, outside or both?
If so then I used the plexus on the outside only, I did use the microfiber a little bit on the inside, but its so hard to get to it from the inside and the smears, dirt is on the outside.
I used the rolled up towel with the top down and I think thats a great idea, now hopefuly the powerball will work well to get out the creases I already have.

i forgot to also mention that a soft cloth in the well is a good idea to keep the plastic window off of the hard plastic shell.
or you can buy a mat (i have a muz mat) that fits in the well for that purpose.

The marring is coming from the plastic rubbing on the softtop vinyl material when it is folded. If you want to get rid it use a real polish like Menzerna Intensive polish/yellow pad and a porter cable, then step it down to Menzerna Final polish for a great finish. Plexus is more a topper protectant than anything and hides faint scratches.
A powerball will get the inside window with the appropriate polish too since it's hard to get a pc behind the seat.
To get the folding marks out, you need to pour boiling hot water on the plastic which will soften and return the window to it's proper shape.... put catch towels along the edge
