Default Help! Cleaning windows

I don't know how to describe this issue, but basically, my front window has these white dust looking things that I can't get rid of. They're hard to see with naked eyes, so they don't really disturb my visibility. I tried washing it off with car soap, didn't work. Then I tried using Adam's glass cleaner. Didn't work either. Anyone have any idea how I can get rid of these? When I feel the glass across with my hand, I don't really feel anything. Maybe this is an aftermath of wear and tear over the years?

Hard to say from the pics, but maybe road rash from years of driving.

Does it cover the entire windshield, or just the section in the pics?

Either they're very small rock chips, or paint overspray that somehow landed on your car. Use a clay bar and see if that removes anything.

It covers most of the windshield. It's only highly visible under LED light. It's not paint, so I think they're pitting from rocks. Gonna try to clay it during my next wash and see what happens.

Clay will lift some contaminants out of the pitting, afterwards try a glass polish to minimize the pits.

Vanishing point is right about them being pits. Every s2 will get them over time and the only way I've found to "fix" them is to have the windshield replaced.

I agree, my 03 Jeep windshield was replaced for the same issue. Clay barring, polish did not work.

Polishing can help. I use 3M professional glass polish (Amazon, $60 for a liter than you can never possibly use up) the correct pads (Chemical guys) and a Porter Cable random polisher.

I thought I was going to have to replace mine but with some time and elbow grease, letting the PC do its magic, I was surprised how nice it turned out.

4 Windshields later, possibly 5, I can confirm that this is a common issue IF it's road-rash and I think that it's either over-spray or road-rash. I'd go to town with some clay and then follow up with some polish on a terry towel for that extra bite, and see if it clears it up.

If not... you need a new windshield. Make sure you get that done at a nice shop. If they F it up, your A-pillars start to rust as the water seeps in. Don't go to any of the quick windshield places, try to have a nice body shop do it.

I have this issue on mine as well. I will try the 3M professional glass polish with a random orbital suggestion.
