Did I peak your interest? Here's what I did, you could probably get it cheaper. I went to Home Depot and bought the Porter and Cable 6" random orbit sander (yes, sander, not polisher) for around $114. If you can find it, you want the one with the hook and loop pad. Home Depot only sells the one with an adhesive pad. So, I went online to www.coastaltool.com and got the Porter and Cable 6" hook and loop pad (#18001 for $15.75 + shipping). Then, I went to www.griotsgarage.com and got their 6" orange foam orbital pad. Read the description about the sander on Griot's web page - note they do not call it a polisher or sander! The polisher model does not use the hook and loop pad, so don't get that model. Do not buy a cheap polisher. Remember you pay for what you get, and I've read a lot of recommendations on this unit from other web boards. It's contractor grade quality.
