Default Honda emblem

I am not sure where I should post such a thread, but I guess this is the vanity section, eh? I want to replace the honda emblem on the front and back and loose the side ones, not because I don't like the way they look, but moreso because they are difficult to deal with when washing and waxing. I have seen some onyx with silver "H" insignia ones on various Honda accessory sites. Any other suggestions / options out there?

...and an aside... I have noticed peeps are getting gung-ho about the hardtops. There are some pics of black hoods on silver cars... what about a black hardtop on a silver car??? It would match the black tape and look sorta like the soft top, wouldn't it? Has anyone done this?

Just a thought.

This should be moved to S2000 talk.

I felt the same way about the stock badges. I was going to get the black chrome ones (see our sponsor HandA accessories), but decided that people with other Hondas may be tempted to steal them. I got a set of Rick's S badges (again one of our sponsors), red S on black background. My car is black and they look awesome! Consider one of the ones I mentioned since they are more "wax friendly" than the stock badge.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. "Wax friendly." I was considering doing the onyx background with the silver "H" I saw on the Ahand site, or even crimson background and paint my calipers red instead of black... but that may be a little out of place. So besides the "S" or the "H" badge is there anything else out there?

No thoughts on the black hardtop? Someone could just put somebody else's hardtop on their silver S2k and take a picture to see it?

(can I move a string or does the moderator?)

A black hardtop on any car would look nice and give it that NSX look. I have a black hardtop, but my car is black too! You could always get the color matching hardtop and peel off the black tape around the windshield for a better look.

A moderator needs to move the thread.

I've seen a Spa Yellow with a black Mugen CF Hardtop running around my neighborhood a few times. It looks nice! I keep leaving notes on the guy's window but he hasn't popped up here yet. Or maybe he has and prefers to lurk...

My S2000 and I live in the UK - but on a recent visit to the US I noticed something interesting (well.........in the context of this thread......interestingish) whilst I was admiring the s2000's I came across on my travels (my wife got quite used to sudden emergency stops / unsignalled, high speed right turns so that I could look at another s2000 ) - the hood / tail badges on the US cars are different to UK cars - they are chrome 'H' symbols with 'holes' where the cars paint is exposed - hence I guess, they are a pain in the arse to wax around. The UK version is like Ricks in construction - ie the car colour is built into the badge, so they are nice and easy to clean

I noticed a new S2K entering a building in Seattle. I was guessing it was new, because it still had the dealer plate sticKer (didn't think about checking the window for the glass). I did notice that it had S2000 badges instead of the H badges.

Do the 2002 cars have different badges?

There's a Pphotoshopped silver/black hard top in this thread (2nd pic)

I think it would look O.K.
