how to apply leather conditioner on perforated
My E55 has perforated seats and if I try to apply leather conditioner on them, the stuff will ooze into the little holes and get stuck. How do you apply leathercare products in thise case..???
From my experience it depends a lot on what leather conditioner you're using. Connolly Hide Food, which I love, is a nightmare on perforated seats. Lexol however, is "thin" enough like a liquid (instead of a paste, like the Connolly stuff), that it doesn't seem to be a problem.
Otherwise, I try to use a light hand with the conditioner if I'm using Connolly, and for those inevitable spots that get plugged up with the stuff, I VERY carefully poke them with a toothpick.
Side note - I'm pleasantly surprised by Lexol. I'd used it years ago on my Excursion, but found stuff I liked better, like hide food and Leatherique. Well Hide Food has become very hard to find, so I got some Lexol today. It's not half bad
