how long before a wash...
before we can wash the rotors with water when we clean our cars? i know that the rotors can warp if it comes in contact with cold water after driving the car. but is there a certain time limit before the rotors are hot enough to warp? how long should i wait then before washing the car and the rotors?
i would never wash either the rotors or the car when hot...
not good for your clearcoat and not great for the rotors either.
i always wash mine first thing in the morning before i drive it- and before the sun can hit it (west side of the house in the shade).

If you're just cruising on the street, just a couple of minutes after parking it is usually fine. I've sprayed my rotors with water after 2-3 minutes and they don't steam at all. Just depends on how hard you were braking on your drive to the car wash (or home)... one other thing to keep in mind is that the fronts seem to get quite a bit hotter than the rears, and they need more time to cool down.
