Default How to polish and anodize a shift knob...

I have a Voodoo Titanium shift knob and was wondering if anyone knows how to polish and/or anodize it?

pretty sure that ti and aluminum are similar anodizing processes ...

do you really want to polish it (does it have stains)?
or do you want to protect it (if so, most syntethics are good choices- such as zaino- and a whole lot easier and safer than anodizing!!)
