Default how to remove jb weld stik?

Well, first time I need to change my brake pads on my VR6, and whoever owned it before me used JBWeld on the damn brake fluid banjo bolt. I was thinking i can use a butane torch to burn it off since it can only handle 500 deg.. any comments or ideas?

I don't know the VR6, but you shouldn't have to break any fluid lines to change pads.

Thats not the point.

the bleeder valve is located on the bolt for the VR6, and I also need to bleed the brake fluid, and I cant do that with the jbweld shit all over it

Maybe a steel wire wheel in a Dremel Tool? A good soak in Acitone?

Torch = Last Resort.

What do you think you might find under the JB Weld?

its 500*F

Im sure i'll find a cracked banjo bolt.. I already have the whole new brake assembly, If worse comes to worse I will have to buy a new rear caliper if the weld doesnt come off.. I didnt get a chance to do it today since I couldnt find the keys to it, IM sure they are in the garage. I'll update tommorow to say how i got it off/didnt get it off.

I'll take a pic of it before I touch it so you guys can see what i was talking about.

try the wire brush dremmel idea that was posted above, or you could try chissel it off but that may endanger the whole bolt...
