Default I discovered a really cool use for......

my Shop Vac today

Every time I wash my car, there is always left over water in places that my cotton towels can't really get to........

Well, just turn on that good ol' Shop Vac and suck the water out of the areas that water accumulates:

- In the lug nut wells
- Under the taillights
- Under the door handles
- in the mirrors

Worked like a champ! I'm sure this is probably old news to many, but in case no one ever thought of it, I thought I would mention it.

Also, I was so excited about the results, I just HAD to share my wonderful experience...

good idea!
some of us also use leaf blowers (exact opposite of what you are doing) for the same purpose...
and i always take the car for a spirited "dry off run" after i have dried it off manually- and then clean up the drips...

Here's a tip for getting all the water out from the tail lights....double up some paper towels or those thick blue "shop towels" slide them under each of the clear plastic after you wash but before you start drying. All the water will get sucked into the towels while your drying the rest of the car. by the time you finish you'll notice the towels will be about half wet. Those lights really hold alot of water.

I have often used a vac to get the drips out of the side mirrors and handles.

I just stick a Microfiber cloth near the water and it does a great job of drawing it out.

I sometimes use those computer keyboard duster thingy's, you know the compressed air with the little straw that sticks out, to clear water from the taillights mirrors etc.
