Interior Cleaning Questions
I am needing to clean the interior of my baby.
1. What are the best products for vinyl and leather. I have heard it said that you can use vinyl cleaner on the leather with no damaging results, but I am deeply afraid.
2. Other than the seats, what else in my car is leather? The insets in the door?
3. The main reason I want to clean the car is that I spilled coffee on the floor. Any suggestions? Not just the floor mat, but also the floor itself.
Any good ideas and opinions will be deeply appreciated and put to good use.

3. Drinking coffee while driving your S? OMG!
Wow. In my precious S, there is no drinking, eating or any other bodily function allowed via any opening on the body. But, to answer your question,
you can use 303 Carpet and Upholstery cleaner, then protect the carpet with 303 Fabric Guard, to help protect from any further coffee spills.

I eat, drink, and occasionally sleep in my car, so don't feel bad. I went on a trip w/ my little sister last year and didn't realize until after I dropped her off that she had dropped chocolate on the floor and managed to grind it into the carpet w/ her feet.
When I got home, I took out my girlfriends trusty Steam Buggy. It got it out in about 10 seconds. That thing is the greatest.

I use Lexol cleaner/conditioner on the leather, and I have used 303 on the rest of the stuff. It is tricky though as you can put too little or too much 303. It is a mess on the radio door (or areas you touch regularly) so I may avoid those areas in the future.
I have use TEK spot remover cleaner to remove spots in my house and car carpets. It works very well for me. It is in a white bottle with red paint looking splashes on the side. I get it at my grocery store.

i also use lexol cleaner/ conditioner on the leather and i use vinylex on the vinyl... my recollection is that they are both made by the same company. you can adjust the shine by how much you use and how many applications you put on.
I found the Zaino leather cleaner and polisher to work very well.. as others have said "the best" is merely subjective. Personally, I havent' tried the zaino yet, but being a "zaino-holic" that I am, I will be changing over next year.. For this season, I have the Porsche interior vinyl/leather cleaner and polish. Strangely enough, its texture, look and feel is no different from some old Simoniz leather/vinyl cleaner and conditioner ? :-) It works great though.
Regardless of what product you get, I'd recommend getting a "cleaner" and a "conditioner" as 2 sep bottles.
