Default Introductions and s/c 200 detail

I'm Aaron. I own and run a business in Seattle. I am one of phils regular purchasers and contributors. I thought i would stop in and see what posts i could help with.

Here is a shot of the front bumper with sand pitting and spider webbing/marring. This is after wash, clay and tape. I did not bother with shots before this as you all know what a dusty car looks like. Overall the car was very well cared for. It just has a small layer of garage dust.

Here you can see some of the haze left by the previouse detailer. It is gostly white gauze like look to the paint. The little bits of dust were a constant issue for me. I think i dusted off this car 1.1 billion times.

This was soposed to be a shot that would highlight some of the ever present minor swirling this car had. And you can see a tiny bit of it. Sadly i am a poor cameraman.

This is after compounding, polish, sealant but before the firs layer of wax.

Engine detail and polish before and after shots.

After shots. Aluminium is polished and everything cleaned and dressed.

Front end after Sealant and wax, including trim conditioning.

Shot of the hood after 2nd layer of wax, swirling and haze are gone.

Shot of the rear, Swirling and haze are gone, Tips are polished.

Shot of the interior after clean, condition, and protection. Not shown is the headliner, and convertable storage bay.

Outside daylight shots. I tried to catch the sun while it was out briefly but missed it.

this car is on a yearly maintenance program. I must say finishing down the paint is a royal pain. this last time i had to finish it down from 106ff on a blue pad at 1200 rpm to

85rd on a blue pad via pc at speed 6, then fmj with ftg.

Sure thing.

I will state though, i do this for a living. I am here because of a request by phil. I started out detailing for myself and have moved into this full time every day. I'm not stumping for work, simply helping phil out while i am at home sick.

nice work Aaron I haven't seen this one before. Guys Aaron is one of the guys that I got to know via the Audi scene and we have become good friends. He has a ton of knowledge and can contribute. I'm sure he can learn a few things here as well.

what products and processes did you use? My car looks about that bad and I'd love to make it look better.
