It's about time!
After 2 months of having detailing supplies I finally got around to detailing MY OWN car.
I gotta tell ya, it took WAY longer than I had expected. I started this morning at 8 at my uncle's place, had to take a break between 1pm-3pm due to a job interview, went at it again from 3-6:30, arrived home at 7:45 and continued where I stopped at my uncle's, and didn't finish until 11:15! Man am I exhausted!
Unfortunately I forgot to bring my camera before I started all this so I couldn't take any before pictures, but I still have my others that may still give a valid comparison.
The wax is still curing on my car since I used Meguiar's NXT Paste Wax. In the pictures you'll notice that the driver's side is a bit drier than the passenger's. I started waxing around 9:30-ish and went counter-clockwise.

I didn't care to wax any of the lower body panels, mainly because I didn't polish them either. I know I could've done better at applying more evenly. I was thinking of using the blue SFX-3 pad to apply the wax but the PC really wore my wrist out.

I did not know you were suposed to leave it like that for hours then wipe it off.
I always put it on then wipe off a few minutes later. what would you do with p21s wax. Should I wax and leave it overnight then wipe off the next day? I am feeling stupid right now.

I ended up taking the wax off at around 1:45am, so I basically let it cure for 3 hours. The only reason why I was going to leave it on overnight was because I heard wax, especially Meguiar's NXT, takes longer to cure the colder the temps get. When I was waxing it was about 49

nice tint what % is that?
It's actually only about 50%, not exactly sure since I bought the car from the previous owner like that. Those pics were shot a few minutes before my first post.

Always follow instructions for each product.
Sometimes I can't even tell wax is being applied...so I learned a new trick. I just look for my reflection, it disappears when wax is applied.
I suppose it's supposed to be kinda hard to tell like that. I've never finished a bottle of wax...they always get old or obsolete first.

Looks like wayyy too much wax on the car to me
