Washing the S once a week is the least I can do. Hell i wouldn't want to take a shower once a week. My family thinks i'm crazy, but when I detail their car, I just hear praise for how much better their car looks. I like my car clean, new or old, and i enjoy driving my car clean.

I get some odd looks from my neighbors I imagine, because I always get any dead bugs or break dust off the car when Im done driving it. Im a little pickier with the S than I have been with other cars, but its still new to me.
Ive often gotten the "its only a car" line. But then the same people always wonder how it is that I always get high book when I sell or trade.

My neighbor washes his car every sunday, rain or shine, starts at exactly the same time, 8:30am, and I've notice he washes it the same way every time (roof, trunk, hood, then around the car starting w/driver side front fender). And lest you think its some exotic supercar, its a subura outback. Rich, your neighors may think your nuts but I think this dude's nuttier.
That's exactly how I wash my car (highest point to lowest point on the horizontal surfaces, then around the car counterclockwise from the drivers side back). And I wash it every Saturday.

One time I was at my friend's house and he was telling me about his neighbor across the street who washes his two Range Rovers every week whether they are dirty or not. "He even washes the wheel wells!" my friend said to me. I was like "um . . . yeah . . . that's crazy . . ."

a persons car is an almost exact reflection of their personality I think! You can have a daily beater with 200k miles but if you keep it clean and maintained that says alot!
