Default Just got 25 Auto Armor Microfiber Towels.

I have been reading about microfiber towels for awhile now, and I am starting to double guess my purchase lolz...Auto Armor is also known as ECP which is based in Illinois and I am just wondering if the towels that i got are any good in comparison to pakshak as far as buffing out wax residue???

I just ordered some DF concours Towels. Read the product review sticky, Wanabe quoted MikeyC on them I believe. Convinced me to spend $25.

There are different levels of quality when it comes to microfiber. I couldn't really say how good the towels you bought are unless I saw them in person.

I have a closet full of expensive towels. Lately i'm been putting the Costco and the Target Vroom brand up against them. On the Cd scratch test my Costco towel did just as well as my Cobra and Pakshak. The Target brand wasn't far behind. All can be pushed to scratch the hell out of a cd. A white MF labeled "GE abrasives" did the best. I bought the GE towels from Big Lots, go figure. The Concourse Towel from Autopia does well but they are pricey.

I'm starting to think the difference in towels isn't as great as the boutique brands would have you believe.

1. Quality of edging - some towels have stitched edges, some have "silk" banding, and some have a "terry" banding. When I use a towel the ones with the "terry" edging feel the least abrasive followed by "silk" edging and in a distant third IMO is stitched edging. If you're a believer in the "CD test" don't forget to test the edging of the towel too. Also, less expensive towels typically have tags. When I rip or cut off the tags quite often there is a little piece of tag peaking out from behind the edging.
I have gotten in the habit of cutting off ALL of the stitching (and tags) of my MF towels and my old T-shirts.

Thx for the replies, and the for the info MikeyC that is a lot of help.. And to the moderator that added to my post, I wasn't asking which is the best towel because that is a broad statement, I just wanted to know if anyone has experience with the Auto Armor towels/ product.. =)

Ditto what MikeyC said.Believe it or not Walmart has some MFs that work pretty well.I've been using their big blue MF towel and have had no issues. Also,I've noticed as far as the cheaper MFs are concerned, they tend to be made in Korea.
