Leather Scratches
I let my girlfriend drive my car this afternoon. She was wearing some pants that have zippers on the thighs for pockets--but anyways, when I drove home from her placeI noticed 2 scratches on the steering wheel. When I got home I inspected them, they feel bigger than they look which is the good news--plus you would never see them cause they are on the underside of the wheel. I suspect that her legs brushed against the wheel when she got out which scratched it. The question is, is there anything I can do to make it so that the scratches dont get larger? Its not cuts in the wheel, but like there are little 'flakes' of leather sticking up and I dont want over time for them to get bigger. I didnt know if they made something to prevent this. Its more of an annoyance than anything to feel those scratches as you turn the wheel when driving--they are probably only 1/4" or less in length. It kinda pisses me off that they are there, but its not her fault.
I'm thinking the moral of this story is dont let people drive your car if they have sharp objects on their clothing.
