scratched steering wheel fix?
First, the cause. These scratches probably came from a rivet on jeans, specifically the rivet on the outside of the front pocket. Happens while "rolling out" of the car, which is how I managed to scratch my wheel.
The fix: Take some very fine sandpaper (220 grit works well), and LIGHTLY sand the scratch. You sand with the direction of the scratch. This will remove the burr from the scratch, so that it disapears to your fingers. Then, take some leather treatment and cleanup/buff the entire wheel. When done, you should only see a minor blemish and not feel anything at all.
