I may post some pics in another thread later on. I am using a Canon Powershot S500. I have come to the realization that I need to get a better camera. I am thinking along the lines of a Canon Digital Rebel XTI.

I am very limited with the Powershot S500. I can make some manual adjustments, but it is essentially a point and click. The image sensor is considerable smaller than that of a DSLR camera body, as well as an inferior lens. The result is shitty quality compred to that of the consumer/semi-pro type DSLR.

I took over 500 hundred picures in a three week time span, most of which I think are shit. As a detailer, my eyes are trained for perfection, as with ALL detailers. That's why it's called detailing, cause you pay attention to detail.

Most of the outside pics I took from 15-20 feet, lack clarity, contrast and light balance. Some of the pics I took outside, the S500, in my opinion, could not create, or even come close to true reproduction of images. Again, I'll mention clarity, and even the color of the New Formula Red could sometimes not be captured, meaning that the tint of my car would vary looking at the digital images.

I tried taking some pics of the Sun reflecting off of the paint, but at this time of year, the Sun is not directly overhead, so I couldn't get the angle of light I was looking for.

I notice that with New Formula Red, unless the light is absolutely perfect, meaning not too much, or not too little, most reflections have a reddish tint.

I'm sure that anyone would agree that I have an inferior digital camera compared to that of even a consumer type DSLR camera. That's my exuse, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

It was a lot of work going through all the pics, and trying to find something worth posting. Most of the pics I took, the clarity just isn't there, but I will post up later on, the best ones that I deem fit to post.
