Lexol on "dyed leather?"
Hi there guys! Just got my first S2000 less than a week ago and I've been loving every second of it. It has red and black interior, and was beautifully taken care of with no cracks or damage, and I'd really like to keep it that way! I went to Pep Boys today to pick up some leather care, and heard that Lexol was a good option. (I got both the cleaner and the conditioner.)
My parents used to ride horses, and knew a bit about leather care, and told me to watch out for leather care products that a) Contain silicone and b) can't used on DYED leather.
Well, I couldn't find any silicone in the product, but it says, "Don't use on dyed leather". However, that kind of confuses me because, aren't a LOT of car seats (S2000 seats included, especially the Red and Black interior seats) dyed? Yet I hear so many s2000 owners using it with success.
Please help!

Any leather that isn't the natural color of the hide is dyed. IIRC, when Lexol says dyed leather they're referring to leathers that aren't coated. The leather on your S's seats is coated. With uncoated dyed leather Lexol will remove some of the dye.
The seats on the S2000 are so heavily finished you won't have any issues, particulary the ap1 seats. Some people even get away with using 303 on the seats as they are so heavily finished. I use Lexol and Einzsett on my seats.
