Default Looking for a good top cleaner/conditioner

I talked to an employee at autozone who said to use Meguiars Naturual Shine to clean the top up. I wasn't so sure about this. I've also read about Ragg Top cleaner and conditioner and the 303 stuff. I've also heard that Ragg Top washes off when it rains or you wash your car. I wash my car or spray it off fairly often. Which product would be right to get my top looking its best but, be good for water resistance?

two separate products... for the cleaner i usually just use my car shampoo with a good brush. for more difficult problems i like porsche top cleaner (it was designed for cloth tops, but i like it on cloth and vinyl), but there are several good ones. the most important thing is that you rarely need anything other than your shampoo.
then the protectant is the most important, imo. my fav is vinylex or 303. i put it on heavy, and let it sit while i do the rest of the car. then buff it off- twice. rub it in really well and wipe it down so no excess is left.
the top its self is water resistant. the protectant is most important for protection against sun damage and environmental damage.

Hey JmanS2k. I live in Atlanta as well and I have been into detailing my cars pretty heavily for a couple years now. Let me know if you would like to hook up and I could give you some pointers. Cheers!

Thanks man, I might do that sometime. I'm in the Marietta area. I feel kind of stupid that I've owned such a nice car for almost three years now and have never cleaned my top lol. BTW, do you know any good places to get fenders rolled?

I ordered Raggtopp and it came in today. Worked really great! Now it has a new, darker appearance.

like raggtopp too- just a reminder that if you get raggtopp, to be sure to get the raggtopp for vinyl (they also make a cloth one).
cloth tops are a real pia to care for... am glad we have vinyl !!
