Best "easy" stuff for paint is Wax Shoppe carnauba Wax. It is a water consistancy liquid that you simply wipe on, whole car at once and then wipe off the thin haze. I have used it for 10 years on my '94 Miata as well as on my '03 S2000. People are always asking me if my Miata is new.

 

By the way, I did end up getting off my ass, buying some Z1, 2, and 6 and some 303 and spent a half-day making my S beautiful. I have to say so far I'm pretty amazed how it's resisted getting dirty again.
