Default When to apply different products?

This is going to be my first time detailing the S so I'm extremely new. Any advice is really going to help. My questions is about when to apply all these different waxes, polishes, compounds, on and on.

I'm thinking

*REVISED*
1) wash with dawn
2) clay
3) wash
4) Menzerna intensive polish
5) Menzerna final polish
6) japon wax

Anything I should take out or add to the list? I don't want my next thread titled "Help I just ****ed up my car"
Thanks in advance

since you are using the menzerna polishes you dont need the scratch x.

btw, your process assumes very swirled paint-

the first step is always to inspect and determine what you need to do from the inspection.

Your process looks good, but you can take the scratch X and compound out from the list. I use both menzerna IP and FP and I haven't come across any swirls that I haven't been able to take out with either. I hope you're using a PC though, because you're not gonna get very far by hand...
