Does Honda make a conditioner for the ragtop? Just something to help in the weathering or waterproofing?

 

There have been alot of posts on this but the 303 protectant is what most use. You can find it at any boat store and most auto retail stores. Remember this is not a canvas top but vinyl. Go to google search for 303 vinyl.....

 

Yeah, I have 303 as well. It's also good to treat your rubber seals with. Others also use Raggtop with great results.

 

I've used 303, it's a good product. It also tends to leave streaks down the side of my car. Not good on white.

A web search brought up a product called RaggTopp. (RaggTopp) Also seems to be very good and doesn't leave the streaks.

I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I usually clean the top before I wash my car. Apply the cleaner, then scrub ... then after it dries up a little, apply the 303 Protectant and wash the car as it dries ... Any drips get washed off the car

That's probably the difference. I never tried applying it that way although I've applied the RaggTopp product the same way as I did the 303 and didn't get the streaks. I don't mean to bash the 303 in any way. It's a good product. I've also considered that I may have been applying it more heavily than necessary.

Back when I was looking for such a product, someone else mentioned the RaggTopp protectant so I gave it a try when the 303 ran low. I like them both but have stuck with the RaggTopp for the reasons stated.

I second the recommendation of Raggtopp. Both 303 and Raggtop are probably equally good for UV protection etc, but ragtopp leaves no residue or streaks on the back window. It also dries to a nice matte finish which doesn't look much if any different from an untreated top. For those who just want UV protection with no side effects, RaggTopp is great. For those who prefer a bit more satin/shiny look, 303 might be better.

As mentioned our top is vinyl, so there is no issue of weatherproofing.
