Meguiars Aggressive Clay Bar
I recently received my car back from a body shop that installed my new ASM style bumper (which I love
) and they did a great job fitting and paint my bumper but my car has some pretty bad overspray on the hood and sides of my car.
I've tried using the Mother's clay bar kit and while it got some of it off, most of it on the sides won't come off.
I recently bought some Meguiars Aggressive Clay (http://www.autogeek.net/meprdeclag.html) and I was wondering if anybody has ever used it before?
I tried searching this sub section and s2ki in general and I only found 2 references to it with no actual reviews.
I was also wondering what some of you would recommend as something to bring back the shine to my '02 BB as I feel the paint seems to have faded yet it still has a lot of depth in certain parts. I mainly want something to seal the paint and fill in swirl marks but I don't have a PC and need to do it by hand.
Well that's about it for now. Please ask questions if I'm not detailed enough and if need be I can provide pictures of what I am talking about tomorrow.

i would say use the clay the same way as the other clay however don't apply too much pressure just keep it wet and keep working it
as for swirls - most of us focus on swirl removal and not just covering them up (the glaze will be gone after the first car wash)
best advice i can give - save your money and buy a PC / Pads

And if you have not already here is a excellent resource of information related to car maintenance. There is even a section on swirl removal.

You might want to think twice about using the aggressive clay bar. It will mar the paint, especially our soft Honda paint. May I suggest that you first do a test spot and see whether you like the results before claying the entire vehicle. If you were planning on machine polishing the entire car after claying it wouldn't matter, but given that you are not, you want to be sure you can live with the results.
With an agressive bar, just make sure you use PLENTY of lube. Just when you think you have enough, lube some more.
When I use agressive clay, i fill a big spray bottle with soap/water and as I'm claying I'm spraying non-stop.

Yes, plenty of lube is key, but to much can be a pain.
With an aggressive claybar, ONR would be a wise choice to use as a clay lube, due to its polymers and the slickness that it has.

Too much lube, can cause the claybar not to pick-up as much, and will just keep moving all that around. Pressure is the key when using clay. Use no pressure at all, just the weight of the clay.

Are there other aggressive clays that you can recommend? I'd like to try detailerdomain Uber blue clay bar but I don't know how strong that is. Is it considered intermediate?
Once again thanks for the replies
