Akimel, you say that you can't use a "cutting" pad with DA + megs stuff....does the LC orange pads count as a cutting pad or is it still in the "safe" range?
I'm afraid I do not know the answer to your question. You might pose it over at MOL. There's a lot of folks there who are experienced with both Megs and LC pads. But check out this thread:

Cutting Pads with the PC?

Or you might just try out the LC orange pad and see what happens ... Better yet, try it on a friend's car.

Akimel, buying the New consumer-line polishes Ultimate Compound + SwirlX instead of professinal line is sufficient enogh for PC and complete swirl removal? Deff way cheaper for me to do.

I just used the m105/m205 combo and it leaves the paint just amazing. For the 105 I used Lake country yellow pad and for the 205 I used a white pad....this was applied with a rotary btw

EOE, I cannot know how well SwirlX and UC will do on your S2000. There is really only one way to find out.

But if your swirls and scratches prove to be too deep for even Ultimate Compound, then you do have the liberty of returning the products to the store from which you purchased it, with receipt, and receive a full refund. Megiuar's 100% customer satisfaction guarantee is comforting in these situations.

But given the typical softness of Honda paint, I suspect you will not find yourself wanting to avail yourself of this guarantee.

Good luck!

One more suggestion for those of you who might be trying out Megs' polishes for the first time. Before you begin your polishing session, post an article at Meguiar's Online and ask the brethren for hints about using the product(s) you will be using. I think you will find the collective wisdom of MOL to be invaluable.

Good idea akimel. I'm sure all of us is looking for a strong enough polish just to remove the surface scratches/swirl marks, but at the same time want one that won't harm the paint and be too abrasive. I'll try to get pics soon when I have time, pics should help

aw man now im a little worried! i ordered my M83+M80 to use with the Flex DA, and i grabbed some of the Sonus SFX pads as well...which correspond to the LC orange/white/black pads which seem to be the most popular....man i hope using these things doesn't do more harm than good!

^^You should actually be ok because as akimel has mentioned, both M80 and M83 are both diminishing polishes which means that the abrasive material eventually breaks down and aren't aggressive as some of the other polishes on the market. Since M80 is less aggressive than M83, use that first and if it isn't strong enough go ahead and use M83.
