Default Menzerna Paint Correction + Werkstat Protection?

I am taking possession of a new (to me) 2009 135i in the next week or two and I want to start off by correcting any minor paint defects and then putting something on it to help protect the paint (as I drive a lot).

I did a bit of research (albeit anecdotal in the form of click-and-brag type threads) and it seems that the Menzerna products are the ones most choose for BMW paint. I was planning to buy PO85RD and PO106FA to take out any light to moderate swirls.

Then I was planning to use Werkstat acrylic products to protect the finish.

First, is there any reason I can't mix these products? And second, do I need to apply the Werkstat Prime before moving to the next step or will the PO106FA fill that need?

If the Werkstat is the wrong way to go, what are some good options for protecting my paint given fairly extensive miles put on the car every week?

Thanks.

Look into Menzerna Power lock. It's a sealant that leaves a deep shine along with extended protection.

I'm not personally familiar with werkstat but many users are finding excellent results from Power Lock.

If you are correcting moderate swirls, you need Menzerna SIP or Powerfinish, followed up by 85rd. 106fa is a very fine polish, and really won't remove anything beyond superlight swirls.

Werkstat AJT is good. Should get 3-4 months of protection out of 2 coats.

Menzerna Powerlock is nice as well.

I love Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger. It especially looks good on lighter colored cars. What color is your 135i?
