Mixing Waxes or Polishes
I have many different waxes and one polish, I think. Question is: Can I use Liquid Glass over or under, say, NXT? Can I just continue to wax with different waxes over and over. I ask this because I was using Liquid Glass, but it is a smidge hard to use. I took it off and applied NXT. But... problem is...NXT doesn't last very long. Liquid Glass lasted a long time. So, can I just put Liquid Glass over NXT or vice-versa???
my guess is that nxt would remove the liquid glass...
liquid glass over nxt would be an interesting experiment- i do not know why it would not work.
i "sandwich" carnubas and synthetics all the time and have done so for many years. i have also sandwiched synthetics- but have not done liquid glass/ nxt.
as s2kracka indicated, worse case if it doesnt work would be that you could take it off and do it over- but i really would be surprised if it doesnt work-
let us know how it goes...

I've read that Liquid Glass and Finish First are the same thing. Can anyone confirm this? (I use Finish First)
I'm planning to do three coats of Finish First with a coat of carnauba on top (One Grand Blitz). But I need to clay polish etc first. I'll let you know my results in a few weeks.

i began my sandwiching experimentation many years ago with finish first and carnuba!!
i can tell you for sure that this combo is great (finish first topped by carnuba).
cant wait to hear your comments after you get the job done...
(i do not know whether liquid glass and finish first are the same, but can tell you that my recollection is that they do not smell the same).
I think the idea is the synthetic wants to bond to the paint or to the previous layer of synthetic, but won't do so properly with carnuba. wanabe uses synthetic over carnuba, but arguably, the carnuba may be essentially gone by the time he does it. (Right, wanabe?)
Anyway, experimenting can be fun, and can provide something to talk about in "Wash and Wax".

mntony- you are right on...
i have never put synthetic over fresh carnuba- but have put it over carnuba that is a few weeks old.
for me its the carnuba over the synthetic that really gets the zing!
and as you said, experimenting is what its all about!!!
